Care Quality Commission (CQC) Report
– Waypoints Verwood

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited Verwood in February 2016 and we were very pleased that their report, published in June 2016, identified that residents are well cared for and that staff were respectful of their privacy and dignity.

In their report the CQC highlighted the supportive way in which people were treated by staff who knew them well and who spent time with them as individuals.

It said that procedures were in place to keep people safe and that staff understood how to identify potential risk and be responsive to people’s needs. Residents and their relatives told inspectors that they felt safe at Verwood and that they were confident in the service.

Person centred profiles and care records promoted independence and reflected key summary information providing people with control over all aspects of their health and wellbeing. The report also identified that reviews were held and decisions made with the involvement of both professionals and relatives and in the best interests of those in our care.

The recent report from Verwood demonstrates the truly excellent care provided by the service.

If you have any questions about the CQC’s report from May 2016 – a full copy of which is published below – then please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Harrison our Director of Operations on 01425 486760.
